Michael Braner

Managing Partner, Founder

Michael is a Managing Partner and Founder of 325 Capital.  Michael has spent 18 years investing in companies and has served on the board of four companies including one as Chairman.

Prior to 325 Capital, Michael was a Partner at Sagard Capital starting in 2005. He created the firm’s screening, diligence and people allocation processes as well as its portfolio allocation algorithms. Michael spent ten years at Bain & Company where he was a senior manager in the Private Equity and TMT Practices and supported clients in Bain’s Chicago, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Dallas, Boston and Los Angeles offices.

 

Michael graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University in 1992 and received a PMD from Harvard Business School in 2000. Michael currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of the New York Landmarks Conservancy and Trustee of Arbor Brothers. He lives in New York with his wife and two children.
